Freddie Dale Haley, Sr., 86, of Owensboro, passed away March 21, 2024, in his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on March 5, 1938, in Daviess County to the late Wilford Haley and Burnett Rideway Haley. Freddie owned and operated Fred Haley T.V. Repair and was of the Baptist faith.

Freddie was always giving out chores to those who came over to visit him. He enjoyed going out to eat and the company that always came with him. Freddie was a part of a men’s group that looked forward to attending. He also enjoyed going to flea markets, his tools, and his guns.

Along with his parents, Freddie was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Georgie Lee Haley; children, Donna Jean Hancock and Robert Dale Haley, Sr.; sisters, Willa B. and Anna Faye; granddaughter, Breann Hope Haley; and daughter-in-law, Tamara Faye Haley.

Those left to cherish Freddie’s memory are his children, Pamela Shown and Freddie Haley, Jr.; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 3 nieces; and 2 nephews.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at Greenbriar Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory and again from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of charitable donations made payable to Hospice of Western Kentucky, 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

A special thank you to Hospice of Western Kentucky for their compassionate and exceptional care during this time, especially to Laci, his nurse for the compassion she showed throughout this process, without her Freddie’s final wishes would not have been possible; Jim, the Chaplain; and the bathers.
