Our greatest asset, and the key to our continued endeavors in aspiring to be exceptional, is our people. At Haley McGinnis Funeral Home, we work together as a team to ensure that each of us finds a sense of dignity, pride and satisfaction in what we do for families in our care.

Because exceeding every expectation of each family we are privileged to serve depends greatly on the united efforts of many, we are most effective when we work together cooperatively, when called upon to walk alongside families during the most delicate of times.

About Megan Everly Morris

The daughter of Mike and Kay Everly, Megan has known literally all of her life about her family’s legacy of loyalty and dedication to serving the families of Owensboro and Daviess County in their time of profound sadness and immediate need. Serving families with exceptional hospitality is the Everly way, and in honor of her father while alongside her mother, Megan has given her life to that faithful work.

Megan loves having the high honor of walking alongside families who are grieving the loss of someone they love and hold dear. Her compassion, empathy, and honesty make her uniquely suited to help families navigate the journey to designing the perfect tribute for their beloved whom they have lost, all while traversing the terrible waters of newfound grief.

She is quick always to underscore how she herself could not do this work were it not for the people in her life whom she loves and who love her in return.

Megan works tirelessly to develop rapport and trust with her team, nurturing a family-like atmosphere among those who are called to work alongside her. She loves them dearly.

And she gives thanks to her family – past and present – for their loving support. Megan is surrounded by the presence of four siblings, and the memory of one. Holli, Tim, Wendy, and Michelle give her what she needs to continue showing love to her community. And honoring her late brother, Jeff, gives her pursuit purpose and meaning.

She is the proud and patient mother of four boys, Anderson, Everett, Navy, and Bear, and her love for them inspires her to rise up day after day in order to do the good work of loving, guiding, serving, and escorting families through the darkness and, hopefully, into the light, for it is light that her sons bring her.

Celebrating the legacy of her father, Mike, who with Kay built their family business into what it is today is Megan’s driving force. Making her parents proud, honoring her loving siblings, giving of herself to her children, showing up for her team, and always providing the most hospitable and comfortable of experiences for families keeps Megan focused on this, her true calling, as a mother, a daughter, a sister, an employer, a friend, and an Everly.
