Scott Alan Lee “Critter Man”, 62, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at his residence. He was born February 13, 1962, in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Robert Lee and Marion Head Lee. Scott was a member of the Catholic Faith and retired from the Boilermakers Local 40.

Scott, an all-around outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved sharing his vast knowledge of the outdoors with others.

Along with his parents, Scott is preceded in death by his brothers Randy Lee, Bobby Lee, and John Lee.

Scott is survived by his siblings Devona Stuerzenberger (Mike), Roxanna Shelden-Paulsen (Jerry), Owen Lee (Ann), Charles Lee (Martha), Lisa Clouse (Don), and numerous nieces and nephews.

A prayer service will be held at noon on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until noon on Saturday at the funeral home.

  1. Rest in Peace, Scott. Our family had many good times growing up with your family, shared many tales and many laughs! The drive around the ridge with the grandkids won’t be the same not giving a shout out to “Scott Alan” as we drive by… You’ll be missed and your stories will live on. The Lee family is in my prayers.

  4. The Critter Man was always nice to me. He would stop over and we would always have tea with scotch and crumpets. He loved to talk about all the critters he had seen. He also loved to play Old Maid, the card game. Once, he drove me over to the Eastside of KY. To show me the town he grew up in, and we done stayed there a few days. I do miss that man as he was so good to me. Love and kisses to his family—Weanie Winnie.
