Lorene "Sis" Sosh

Lorene “Sis” Sosh, 77, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. She was born August 27, 1945, in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late James Robert Sosh and Tildie Coin Sosh Hudson. Sis worked at Owensboro Hospital as a ward clerk for 36 years.

Sis was hard-working, very organized, and on occasion, stubborn. She loved playing games, doing puzzles, and enjoying her retirement. Sis always treated others how she would want to be treated. She was humble and enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved her family and will be remembered by them as a great mother and grandmother.

Along with her parents, Sis was preceded in death by her brothers, James F. and James E., and her sisters, Anna Mae and Wanda.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Mark) Cline of Owensboro; six grandchildren, Jeremy Sosh, Amanda Williams, Jonathan Cline, Amber Basham, Sharon Cline, and Ashley Tingle; 15 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Mary Moore of Florida, Delbert Hudson of Beech Grove, and JR Hudson of Beech Grove.

Services will be 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at Rosehill – Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
