Frances “Mulligan” Boswell O’Bryan
Frances”Mulligan”Boswell O’Bryan of Owensboro passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on May 25, 1925 in St. Joseph, Kentucky to the late Erle A. Mulligan and Corrine Riney Mulligan. She was a housewife and co-owner of former Boswell & Sons Harley-Davidson of Owensboro and Henderson, KY. She was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral and St. Stephen Choir. Graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy in 1944. She enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spending time with her many relatives and friends. She loved to travel and ride motorcycles. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Otis A. Boswell in 1983; a brother, Harold Mulligan; sisters, Suzetta Ebelhar, Geraldine Simmons, Mildred Timbrook; and son-in-law, Jeff Dent. Surviving is her loving husband, Paul M. O’Bryan of Owensboro. She was the beloved mother of Larry A. Boswell and his wife,Paulette of Owensboro ,KY., David E. Boswell and his wife, Sandi of Owensboro, KY., Sara Boswell Dent of Frankfort, KY., Step-children, Paul M. O’Bryan Jr. and his wife, Joanne of Boston, MA., Judith Basham and her husband, Ralph of Arlington, VA., Six Grandchildren; Ten Great-Grandchildren, Seven Step-Grandchildren; Twenty-Three Step-Great-Grandchildren, Brothers and Sisters, Marion Mattingly, Billy Mulligan and his wife, Carolyn, John M. Mulligan and his wife, Louise, Ruth Ann Hardy and her husband, Ira, Mary Jane Alexander and her husband, Dick, Martha Jean Kauffeld and her husband, Jim, Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be at 12:05pm. Saturday, July 31, 2010 at St. Stephen Cathedral. Visitation at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home from 2:00 to 8:00pm .Friday and from 10:00 to 11:30am. Saturday. Prayers will be said at 6:00pm. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery at St. Joseph, KY. Reverend John Vaughan will officiate.
